Three habitual drug peddlers taken into preventive custody

DODA, Aug 27: Police have taken three habitual drug peddlers into preventive custody.
As per police sources, a number of complaints were received at Police Station Bhaderwah that three youth namely Kazim Ashraf, son of Mohd Ashraf of Masjid Mohalla Bhaderwah, Jahingir Ahmed, son of Mohd Ahsan of Chaka Bhaderwah and Mohd Aqib, son of Asgar Sheikh of Gatha Bhaderwah were involved in drug trafficking besides alluring the young generation to consume as well as supply drugs and were getting other youth involved in drug addiction.
Acting upon this alarming information, police swung into action and a detailed report regarding their involvement in drug addiction as well as involving other youth was prepared by a police party led by SHO Police Station Bhaderwah Jatinder Singh Rakwal.
These drug peddlers were apprehended and produced before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhaderwah, who sent them to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
