DODA, Nov 3: Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers, Doda Police has booked three more notorious drug peddlers of Bhaderwah and lodged them in District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
As per official sources, a number of complaints were being received at Police Station Bhaderwah that three youth namely Jahingir Ahmed, son of Mohd Ahsan of Village Chakka Bhadarwah, Saqib Sheikh, son of Asgar Ali of Dandi Bhaderwah and Riaz Ahmed, son of Javed Iqbal of Chinote Bhaderwah were involved in drug trafficking besides alluring the other youth to consume as well as supply drugs and were getting them involved in drug addiction.
Acting upon this alarming information, police swung into action and a detailed report regarding their involvement in drug addiction as well as involving other youth was prepared by a team led by SHO Bhaderwah Inspector Jatinder Singh Rakwal.
These drug peddlers were apprehended and produced before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhaderwah from where they were sent to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
