SAMBA, May 12: Police has arrested three persons for illicit hoarding and sale of diesel alongside National Highway near Nandani Chowk and has seized around 65 litres of illicit diesel.
A team of Police Station Samba while on patrolling duty, found some persons indulged in illegal storing and sale/purchase of diesel near Nandani Chowk, Samba. The accused persons identified as Vijay Singh son of Bhag Singh of Punjab (at present Samba), Balbir Singh son of Kamal Singh of Punjab (at present Samba) and Sukh Ram son of Kala Ram of Chaliyadi Kalan (Samba) were arrested and around 65 litres of illegally stored diesel oil was seized from their possession.
In this connection, a case under FIR Number 137/2024 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act was registered at Police Station Samba and further investigation started.
