MENDHAR, Nov 10: Three persons were held today by Mendhar police and six bovines were rescued from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, acting on a specific input police today laid down a naka near Dak Bungalow, Mendhar and stopped two Tata Mobiles bearing registration numbers JK12-8963 and JK12A-0279. On checking, 6 bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicles without any valid document.
Police has registered a case and seized both the vehicles. Three persons including two drivers of both the vehicles have been arrested. The arrested persons have been identified as Parvez Ahmed son of Alam Din resident of Chakduspura (Shopian), Mohd Safir son of Mohd Din, resident of Gultha (Mendhar) and Gaffor Hussain son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Dhera (Mendhar).
The arrest and recovery was made by a police team led by SHO Mendhar, Inspector Daleep Singh.
