JAMMU, Dec 10: Police in Gandhi Nagar area here claimed today they have arrested three persons and recovered 21 grams of heroin from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SDPO South, Sachit Sharma, assisted by SHO Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Inspector Pankaj Sharma, and ASI Lateef Ahmed, stopped three suspects during patrolling duty near Nag Devta Park, Shastri Nagar, Jammu.
21 grams of heroin and an electric weighing machine was recovered from their possession, he said.
The accused, identified as Suresh Kumar of Miran Sahib, Jammu; Yougal Kishore of Athal Saleri Sunderbani, Rajouri, and Naryan Sharma of Panjtirthi, Jammu, were accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 295/2023 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation taken up.
The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid.
