DODA, Dec 28: Cops from Police Post Khellani here today led by PSI, Aman Sharma, Incharge Police Post Khellani under the supervision of Inspector Arun Parkash, SHO Police Station Doda laid a Naka on NHW-244 near Khellani.
During checking, a car of Swift make bearing registration number JK19/3900 was stopped and cops questioned the driver who disclosed his name as Imtiyaz Ahmed son of Abdul Hamid resident of Anwar Abad Doda.
On his search heroin like substance was recovered.
His other associates who were also travelling in the same vehicle disclosed their names as Yasir Ahmed @ Thopa son of Abdul Majid resident of Sadiq Abad Doda and Irfan Khan son of Ghulam Hussain Khan resident of Astan Mohalla, Doda.
On search, heroin like substance was also recovered from the possession of both.
In this connection, a case in FIR No. 263/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
The recovery of contraband and arrest of drug peddlers was made under the overall supervision of Jaswant Singh, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda.
