JAMMU, Jan 3: In two separate cases, Jammu Police today apprehended three drug peddlers with 17 grams of heroin.
A team of Border Police Post (BPP) Chakrohi while on naka duty rounded up one suspect in a vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02CL-6243 and on search, recovered 12 grams of heroin from his possession.
The suspect was later identified as Naresh Kumar alias kuti S/o Sat Paul R/o Chakrohi Tehsil Suchetgarh, Jammu. In this regard, a case FIR Number 01/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and the accused arrested.
Similarly, at another naka by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by Inspector Vikram Sharma (SHO), two suspects that were on their way from Bahadurpur towards Kotli Charkan in a vehicle bearing Registration Number JK02CS-6254, were rounded up and upon their search, 5 grams of heroin (2.5 gram from each) was recovered from them.
In this regard, a case FIR Number 07/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Bishnah and the accused arrested. The accused were later identified as Arjun Sandhu son of Raj Kumar and Sanju Kumar son of Rajesh Kumar, both residents of Dhinday Khurd (Bishnah).
