JAMMU, May 23: Police claimed today that they have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 6 grams of heroin from their possession in Pounichak area here.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Post Pounichak led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal and incharge Police Post Pounichak, SI Ram Rattan, while on naka duty at Tarlokpur area rounded up a suspect.
During search of the vehicle of the suspect Shahzad Prince of Mendhar, Poonch, he said, 6 grams of heroin was recovered and later two other persons travelling in the vehicle identified as Kapil Sharma of Bakshi Nagar Jammu at present Chowadi Jammu and Rahul Sharma alias Mohit of Pounichak.
The accused have been booked under the relevant sections of the law, he said, adding that further investigation is on.
