JAMMU, July 6: Police here have arrested three drug peddlers with 10 grams of heroin.
A police spokesperson said that yesterday, a party of Police Station Nowabad during routine patrolling signalled a car (JK02DB 2531) to stop near UNO lane Talab Tillo but the driver of the vehicle didn’t stop. He was, however, overpowered by the alert jawans.
During preliminary enquiry, the persons in the car disclosed their names as Vikram Singh and Mohit Manhas of Bohri, Anand Nagar, Jammu, and Rishav Arora of Shiv Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu, he said.
“On search of the personal belongings of the accused, 10 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered,” said the police spokesperson.
The accused have been arrested and booked in case FIR number 106/2023 under 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act and further investigation taken up, he further said.
Pertinently, the seizure was conducted by PSI Sonu Chaudhary, incharge Police Post Talab Tillo and Inspector Surinder Raina, SHO Nowabad under the overall supervision of DySP Headquarters, SP City North and the overall supervision of SSP Jammu.
