JAMMU, Oct 3: Sidhra police arrested three gamblers along with Rs 24,000 stake money and playing cards.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Sidhra police post conducted raid and arrested three gamblers.
Police recovered Rs 23,900 stake money and playing cards from the spot.
The accused have been identified as Qurash Mohammad, son of Gulsher Mohammad and Gulam Nabi, son of Gulam Rasool, both residents of Khanpur, tehsil Nagrota and Sohan Lal, son of Dev Raj of Rehari.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered against the accused at Sidhra police post and investigation started.
Police team led by SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and assisted by Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Noor Mohammad made the arrests under the supervision of SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
