Three injured as Tata Sumo plunges into gorge

RAMBAN, Mar 3: Three persons including the driver of a Tata Sumo were injured today after their vehicle in which they were travelling towards Ramban from Chabba, plunged into a gorge near Kanthi on Mehar Neera Kanthi link road.
According to police sources, a rashly driven Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK19- 2928 on way to Ramban from Chabba Demoteh met with an accident and rolled down into a 200/250-feet deep gorge near Kanthi.
Sources said, driver of the vehicle and two passengers travelling in it sustained injuries in the mishap and they were immediately rushed to District Hospital Ramban by the locals and the Police. The injured persons were identified as Sumo driver Mashkoor Ahmed son of Gul Mushtaq Ahmed, resident of Chabba Damote, Gulab Singh son of Pyar Singh of Bajmasta and Nisar Ahmed son of Mohd Anwar of Karansool Damote.
“After providing medical aid and seeing his critical condition, Gulab Singh was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for specialized treatment,” sources said, adding, police had registered a case FIR Number 55/2022 under Sections 279/337 of IPC at Police Station Ramban and further investigation started.
