Three injured in clash at Narwal

JAMMU, Dec 19: Three persons were injured today in a clash between two groups in Narwal area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a man namely Dharampal Sharma of Rajeev Nagar (Narwal) this morning engaged in a verbal duel with Gulam Mohd of Jakhani over some land issue at Rajeev Nagar.
He said both exchanged heated words after which their sons and other relatives also jumped into the quarrel. “Soon the quarrel took a bad turn and sons of Gulam Mohd attacked the other party with sharp edged weapons,” he said, adding in the attack, two persons from Dharampal group sustained serious injuries while one person from the opposite party also got minor injuries.
The official said the seriously injured persons were identified as Rohit Sharma (30) son of Dharampal Sharma and Ajay Sharma (36) son of Mohinderpal, resident of Talab Tillo while the man who got minor injuries was Tanveer Ahmed (34) son of Gulam Mohd, resident of Jakhani. They were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
In this connection, two counter FIRs have been registered against both the parties on their complaint at police station Bahu Fort.
