Three injured in road accidents

JAMMU, June 19: Three persons including a Special Police Officer (SPO) and a Constable of Traffic Wing of J&K police were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, SPO Suresh Gupta (Belt No 808/SPO) son of Bimal Gupta of Nanak Nagar and presently posted at DIG office, sustained injuries when a bike on which he was travelling, was hit by a Bolero car on Bus Stand flyover.
A Traffic Constable namely Sohan Singh (Belt No 157/JT) son of Swarn Singh, resident of Chak Chanda (Ramgarh) was hit and injured by a speeding bike when he was performing his duty at Canal Head.
A 22-year-old girl identified as Palvi Sharma daughter of Sanjay Sharma, resident of Talori (Vijaypur) got injured when she fell on the road while boarding off a bus at Gandhi Nagar.
All the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all three cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
