Three killed, eleven injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Nov 15: Three persons were killed, while eleven others injured in road mishaps at different locations.
A woman and her son was seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by an unidentified truck in Greater Kailash crossing area of the winter capital.
The duo were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared woman namely Lalita Devi, wife of Bodh Raj of Narwal as brought dead, while, her son namely Vikram Rajwal, was undergoing treatment, when last reports poured in.
A case has been registered and investigation started.
In another incident, a couple died, when the motorcycle they were riding on slipped at Darsoo area of district Udhampur.
The couple riding on a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02 AA-0582 was on its way to Udhampur from Manwal, when the accident took place.
The duo received serious injured and were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared them as brought died.
The deceased were identified as Kishor Kumar, son of Sharvan and his wife Surita Devi of Dandayal, district Udhampur.
Police has registered a case and investigation started.
Meanwhile, nine passengers were injured, when the bus they were travelling in collided with a divider near Bhagwal area of district Kathua.
The ill-fated bus bearing registration number JK02P-1840, was on its way to Jammu from Lakhanpur, when it met with an accident, causing grievous injuries to nine passengers.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Kathua, from where two of them namely Subash Chander, son of Khushi Ram and Shivani, daughter of Ram Paul, were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for specialized treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Kathua Police Station and manhunt was launched to arrest the driver, who fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
A 32 year old woman Sharda Devi, wife of Ashok Kumar of village Chakhar, district Udhampur, was seriously injured, after being hit by a matador (JK02AS-0129) near her village.
The matador was on its way to Udhampur from Chakhar, when the incident took place.
The woman was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where her condition was stated to be out of danger, when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered and manhunt was launched to arrest the driver, who fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
