JAMMU, Jan 14: Three persons were killed in road accidents at different locations.
As per reports, two persons were killed when the car they were traveling in skidded off the road a plunged into a gorge at Rehamble area of District Udhampur.
The car bearing registration number JK14B-6543, was on its way to Udhampur from Jammu, when the driver lost the control over the steering and the car plunged into gorge near Dudder Bridge in Rehamble.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the two seriously injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors pronounced both of them as brought dead.
The bodies were handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities, while a case under FIR number 8/ 13 has been registered and investigation started.
In another incident, a person was killed after falling down from the moving bus (JKO2AV-1893) near Chowki Choura.
The body of the deceased identified as Puran Chand, son of Tara Chand of Peli, Sunderbani was shifted to Akhnoor Hospital, where after postmortem the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case has been registered at Pouni police station and investigation started.
