JAMMU, Nov 25: Police here today arrested three narcotic peddlers and seized intoxicants from their possession.
Cops from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Sharma while patrolling at Chandian, Bhambarwan area near new bridge found a motorcycle bearing registration number JK20B-1053 coming from the opposite direction.
On seeing cops, the bikers tried to flee but the policemen apprehended them on the spot or their suspicious activity.
During questioning they disclosed their names as Showket Ali, alias Makhu, son of Mohd Younas, resident of Gandharwan; Shoket Ali, alias Satt, son of Gul Mohd, resident of Kotli Hari Singh and Razak Ahmed, alias Kaka, son of Gulam Mohd, resident of Kandi Barui, Tehsil Maira Mandrian.
During checking of these bikers five gram Heroine like substance and 20 gram Ganja like substance were recovered from below the seat of the motorcycle.
In this regard a case in FIR number 320/2023 Under Sections 8/20/21/22/29/60 of NDPS Act was registered and investigation started.
