Three new secretaries appointed

NEW DELHI, Nov 25:
Three senior IAS officers have been appointed as secretaries in the Shipping, Overseas Indian Affairs and Corporate Affairs Ministry.
Rajive Kumar, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre has been appointed as Secretary in Shipping Ministry, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
Kumar, who is working as Special Secretary in Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will take over the charge from Vishwapati Trivedi, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, who superannuates on Sunday.
The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved creation of two new posts of Special Secretaries in Overseas Indian Affairs and Corporate Affairs ministries for Sunil Soni and Anjuly Chib Duggal, the order said.
Soni, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, has been appointed as Special Secretary, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs with immediate effect against the newly created post. He will take the charge of Secretary in the Ministry after incumbent Prem Narain’s retirement on December 31, it said.
Soni is presently working as Director General, Bureau of Indian Standard under Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
Anjuly Chib Duggal, a 1981 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre, has also been appointed as Special Secretary in Corporate Affairs Ministry. She will take over the charge in the Ministry after retirement of incumbent Naved Masood on February 28, 2015, the order said. Duggal is presently working as Special Secretary, Department of expenditure under the Finance Ministry. (PTI)
