JAMMU, Apr 25: Three members of a family including a brother and two sisters were charred in a fire at their residence in Rehari area.
According to a police spokesperson, a man identified as Ashok Kumar (45) son of Dina Lal, a resident of Rehari Mohalla, pour kerosene oil on him and set self on fire following a dispute with his family members. He received about 100 % injuries in the fire.
Two sisters of the Ashok Kumar also received injuries when they tried to rescue him by dousing the flames. They have been identified as Jeeto Devi (60) wife of Mohinder Lal and other Darshna Devi.
All the three injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where the condition of the Ashok Kumar is stated to be critical while the condition of her sisters was stated to be stable.
The concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
