SRINAGAR, Mar 1: Police today said it have arrested three persons in Kargil district of Ladakh Division on the charges of robbery and recovered stolen property.
A police spokesman said Yogesh Kumar of M/s Sales and Services Kargil lodged a complaint with them wherein he said that Ghulam Hussain took away electric/hardware items worth Rs. 1,90,000 lakh from his electric and hardware store.
“On this, a case under FIR number 05/2016 under Sections 381, 411 RPC was registered by police. During the course of investigation a manhunt was launched and accused was apprehended,” he said.
The police spokesman said during questioning he disclosed that he kept the stolen items in his residential house and some items had been sold to two persons namely Mohammad Hassan and Mohammad Sayeed Din.
“Stolen property was recovered from their possession. All the three persons were arrested and stolen goods worth Rs. 1,76,700 lakh were recovered from them,” the spokesman added.
