JAMMU, July 12: In a significant achievement, three talented theatre artists from Samooh Theatre Jammu have been awarded scholarships by the Union Ministry of Culture.
The prestigious scholarship, known as the Young Artist Scholarship, was granted to Vinay Sharma, Radhika Sharma and Tarun Singh for the 2020-21 program by the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CCRT) under the Union Ministry of Culture.
Vinay, Radhika and Tarun were selected from a pool of aspiring artists from various parts of the country. Their exceptional skills, dedication and passion for theatre stood out among the applicants, leading to their well-deserved recognition and financial support.
This program aims to nurture and encourage young talents across different art forms, providing them with the necessary financial assistance to pursue their artistic aspirations. This fellowship grants recipients a financial grant, enabling them to further hone their skills and knowledge in their respective fields.
Vinay Sharma, known for his remarkable stage presence and versatile acting skills, has made a name for himself in the theatre community of Jammu while Radhika Sharma, another gifted theatre artist, has proven her mettle through her emotive performances and exceptional command over stagecraft. Tarun Singh, a promising young talent, has shown great potential in acting.
The scholarships awarded to these artists will provide them with the necessary financial support to pursue advanced training, workshops, and research in their chosen fields of theatre under the guidance of their guru Ravinder Sharma (prominent Theatre Director of J&K).
