RAJOURI, Nov 12: Police here today has arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued 17 bovines and also seized the vehicles involved in the crime.
As per sources, FIR No. 500/2024 was registered U/S 223 BNS 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, involving vehicle JK11B 8045; FIR No. 501/2024 involving vehicle JK11D-2405 and FIR No. 502/2024 involving vehicle JK02AL-1159.
The arrested bovine smugglers were identified as Mohd Yaseen, resident of Fatehpur Rajouri; Zaffer Choudhary, resident of Leeran Dharhala and Mohd Arif, resident of Sialsui, Kalakote.
FIRs have been registered at Police Station Rajouri and investigations started.
