KISHTWAR, Apr 27: Police here today arrested three notorious narcotic smugglers from two different places and recovered 13 grams of heroin like substance along with Rs. 1 lakh cash from them.
On specific tip, cops laid special Nakas at Link Road Gurain and at Filler Thakrie which were led by Inspector Abid Bukhari, SHO Kishtwar and PSI Vikram Kotach respectively under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs, Ashish Gupta.
The arrested persons were Aqib Ahmed, son of Aziz Ahmed, resident of Cheji Dool, at present Poohie Kishtwar and he was booked in case of FIR No. 90/2023 and 2 gm heroine like substance along with Rs. 1 lac cash was recovered from him.
Other narco smugglers arrested were Ajaz Ahmed and Abdul Mujeeb, both sons of Khushi Mohd, both residents of Sirgwari Thakrie, Kishtwar and they were booked in case of FIR No. 91/2023 and 11 gm Heroine was recovered from them.
SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal has said that Kishtwar Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware on eradication of drug menace from the society.
