DODA, Apr 24: A three-storey building housing a private school, a house and some shops gutted in a mysterious fire in Bhaderwah during the intervening night of April 23 and 24 that left four persons injured.
According to the reports at about 2.20 am today, a mysterious fire broke out in a three-storey building in Haveli Mohalla in Bhaderwah tehsil. Some neighbours noticed the fire, informed the owner of the building and started rescue operation. They also informed the police and department of fire service.
Soon, six fire tenders were pressed into service to extinguish the flames and after hectic efforts the flames were doused but till then the fire had completely damaged the building and two adjoining shops.
During the rescue operation, four persons received minor burn injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The injured were identified as owner of the building, Mohd Iqbal, his brother, Rehmatullah, another local resident, Satish Kumar son of Bhawani Gir and a driver of fire services, Hav Nadeem Akhter.
