JAMMU, Feb 17: Police claimed today that they have arrested two persons and solved three theft cases registered at Police Station Domana.
A police spokesperson said that several complaints were lodged at Police Station Domana, alleging therein thefts in different areas under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana.
Acting on the written complaints, he said, special teams of Police Station Domana led by SP Rural Rahul Charak and assisted by SDPO Domana, Sunil Singh and SHO Inspector Tilak Raj, with the help of CCTV footages rounded up two suspected identified as Mohammad Azam Bhat alias Azam of Gole Gujral, Tallab Tillo, Jammu and Rohit Kumar of Trilokpur, Gole Gujaral, Jammu, who during sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the thefts.
On their disclosure, the police spokesperson said, stolen items worth Rs 2 lakh were recovered and three theft cases worked out.
Further investigations are on, he said.
