Three tourist circuits in offing in Kishtwar: Kichloo

Kishtwar, Aug 19: Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Home, R&B, MED, H&UDD, Tourism and Culture Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today laid foundation stones of Welcome Gates at Malipeth and Bus Stand Kishtwar.
These Gates are to be constructed by Kishtwar Development Authority to give facelift to Bus Stand.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Kichloo reiterated the commitment to develop Kishtwar district as a world class tourist destination and said that three mega tourist circuits will be developed soon with massive increase in tourism infrastructure. The Kishtwar-Sinthan Top Tourist Circuit amounting to Rs 7.26 crores involves 36 components. Similarly large scale tourism infrastructure with best quality will be created under Kishtwar-Gulabgarh-Machail Tourist Circuit estimated at a cost of 7.69 crore and Halimar-Malipeth-Tatta Pani Tourist Circuit costing Rs 7.69 crore.
The Minister said that Kishtwar has a lot of tourism potential and the Government has visualized to connect these tourist destinations with roads and create tourist facilities at such places. He announced that soon road for Kalamsatar point will also be constructed.
On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohd Javed Khan assured the public that the district administration will ensure best quality of works in all the projects.
Mr Kichloo also visited District Hospital Kishtwar and took stock of its functioning. Accompanied by DC Kishtwar and Superintendent District Hospital, the Minister inspected each and every ward of the hospital and enquired about various facilities and treatment quality from the patients and their attendants.
Superintendent DH Dr Pervaiz apprised the minister about the various initiatives undertaken by the hospital authorities for the well being of patients. Mr Kichloo gave important instructions regarding hospital functioning and upliftment of infrastructure.
After this the minister inaugurated a Grand Musical Show and Comedy organized by J&K Academy for Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar at ITI ground Kishtwar.
