NEW DELHI: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ is well on its way to becoming a blockbuster with earnings of over Rs 150 crore in its first four days, trade sources said.
The film, which has already set a record for the highest opening weekend ever for a Bollywood film with collections of Rs 114.93 crore in its first three days, continued its strong run at the box office on Monday with collections of over Rs 40 crore on Christmas day.
The film has thus earned over Rs 150 crore in just four days. A sequel to the 2012 hit ‘Ek Tha Tiger ‘, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai ‘, produced by Yash Raj films and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, had earned Rs 45.53 crore on Sunday, taking its earnings over the opening weekend to Rs 114.93 crore.
The film has scored the biggest weekend ever for a Bollywood release as the collections have gone past the first three day earnings of ‘Sultan’ (Rs 105.53 crore) and ‘Dangal ‘ (Rs 105.01 crore).
‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which released worldwide on December 22, is drawing huge crowds ever since its release due to the presence of the popular pairing of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and its thrilling action. (AGENCIES)
