Sir,
Many political parties are wanting elections to the state Assembly not to be deferred.They want that election process should go side by side with the efforts to compensate , help and rehabilitate the flood sufferers of the State.
They even argue that uncertain conditions cannot be allowed to take the best of the democratic process and hence elections should be held as scheduled.
It is though upto the Election Commission to take stock of the situation and accordingly decide about the dates but it would be in the fitness of things to defer the same at least up to March to make election process meaningful
