JAMMU, Apr 29: Deputy Inspector General of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range Ashkoor Ahmed Wani said that police services like character verification, service verification as well as passport verification have been brought under the purview of Public Services Guarantee Act and there has been a time limit fixed for this.
He said this while addressing a meeting in Ramkote, district Kathua. The meeting was attended by various prominent persons, panches and sarpanches.
Earlier, keeping in view the hot weather condition, DIG dedicated water cooler with water purifier to Government Higher Secondary School Pallan Billawar under Civic Action Programme.
DIG Jammu was accompanied by Neeva Jain, SSP Kathua, Rajnesh Pran, SSP SO to DIG Jammu Samba Kathua Range, Rajeshwar Singh Charak SDM Basohli, SDPO Basohli and others.
DIG Jammu and SSP Kathua interacted with people as well as students.
The programme was followed by a meeting at Pallan, wherein around 200 students, locals, sarpanches and panches took part.
Vishavjeet Singh, Principal Government Higher Secondary Pallan Billawar said that water cooler with water purifier will be useful for the health conditions of the students.
DIG Jammu and SSP Kathua ensured full co-operation from the Police Department.
