SRINAGAR, May 27: Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today said that time period for undertaking verification of Sewadars associated with the annual Amarnath Ji Yatra has been extended upto June 10.
The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with a deputation of Shri Amarnath Ji Barfani Langer Organisation (SABLO) which was led by Vijay Mehra, Raja Kuldeep Singh and Aman Aggarwal.
Director General of Police, K. Rajendra, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board, P. K. Tripathi and other senior officers were present.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government is committed for ensuring smooth and hassle free yatra and in this regard necessary mechanism has already been put in place and instructions have also be passed down the line. He said that various review meetings have already been held in this regard.
Dr. Singh also assured the deputationists that all their issues would be addressed by taking up with the concerned authorities.
On the occasion, a review of security preparedness and other related things were also held and Director General of Police assured that necessary security measures have already been put in place besides holding regular review meetings on the issue.
