LOS ANGELES, June 15: The “Veep” actor has joined “Gold”, which will star Matthew McConaughey and Edgar Ramirez.
Simons will play a Wall Street banker who is forced into the jungles of Borneo. Michelle Williams also stars in the film, which is based on a script by Patrick Massett and John Zinman.
The Black Bear Pictures film, directed by Stephen Gaghan, centers on a man named Kenny Wells (McConaughey), who teams up with an equally luckless geologist to find gold deep in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia.
The filming will take place in Thailand, New Mexico and New York.
The Weinstein Company will release the film in the US. (PTI)
