RAJOURI, Dec 31: In a decisive step to curb illegal and unscientific mining activities in the region, the police in Budhal, led by SHO Insp Parveen Kumar, seized a vehicle carrying illegally mined material.
The interception occurred when a police team from Budhal Police Station intercepted a Tipper bearing registration number JK11D-9141, found transporting mining material without proper authorization. The vehicle was driven by Mohammad Kabir, son of Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Bagla Nadyala, Rajouri.
The vehicle was seized and necessary legal proceedings have been initiated against the violators. This action is part of the intensified efforts of the Rajouri Police to ensure compliance with mining laws and to prevent environmental degradation.
