JAMMU: The Tiranga Yatra comprised of nearly 100 people from Sonipat and on way to Lal Chowk in Srinagar was stopped in Samba district of Jammu region.
“The Yatra managed to cross Lakhanpur, but stopped at Vijaypur in Samba,” a senior police officer here said.
He said that nearly 100 people from Sonipat were on the way to Lal Chowk to hoist the National Flag. “They were not carrying any permission, so stopped from moving ahead,” said the officer.
The police officer said that the people from Sonipat were sent back peacefully after providing some refreshment. (AGENCIES)
