JAMMU, Dec 15: Tirath Raj Kapal Mochan Shrine & Temples Committee, Shopian Kashmir in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of its vice president, S N Saraf discussed various issues concerning this famous shrine.
The meeting, while expressing its satisfaction over the initiative taken by Tourism Department Kashmir in development of this shrine where the devotees across the country used to visit to perform rituals, has demanded that in view of the “Malmas Banmas” festival this year the Government should take initiative for further development of the shrine.
The meeting was informed that the membership drive for the shrine has already been launched which will close on January 31 next year and it will be followed by the elections. The meeting sought the cooperation of entire community members of the district in this process and development of one of the revered Hindu shrines of Kashmir.
