Tiwari records highest winning margin in Rajasthan

JAIPUR, Dec 9:
Deputy leader of BJP legislature party in the outgoing Assembly Ghanshyam Tiwari, despite all his rebellion related hardships, emerged the top winner who has recorded the electoral win on his Sanganer seat with the highest winning margin of 65,350.
In contrast to Mr Tiwari’s feat, NPP winner Navin Pilania, son of the sitting BJP Rajya Sabha MP Gyan Prakash Pilania, happens to be the winner with the narrowest victory margin of 329 votes in Amer constituency.
Meena strong man and sitting Lok Sabha MP Dr Kirodi Lal Meena (NPP) also managed a paper thin winning margin of 491 votes in Lalsot against another community stalwart and cabinet Minister Parsadi Lal Meena (Congress).
For the NPP leader, this was a face saver win as he lost the poll on Sawai Madhopur-the second seat contested by him, against the former Princess of Jaipur Diya Kumari (BJP).
Two other constituencies—Dataramgarh and Sagwara (ST) also produced results with margins less than 1000 votes and the lucky winners were Congress veteran Narain Singh (575) and BJP’s Anita Katara (640). (UNI)
