TKRM delegation meets DC Shopian

SHOPIAN, May 14: A delegation of Tirath Raj Kapal Mochan (TRKM) Shrine & Temples district Shopian led by Som Nath Saraf its vice president called on District Development Commissioner Shopian and demanded that the arrangements may be made on administrative level for the upcoming festivals including Mal Mass Banmass and Shravan Bah festivals to be held at the holy shrine in coming months.
The delegation said that the Kapal Mochan being the ancient shrine of Kashmir has a lot of religious significance for Hindus and prior to exodus the devotees used to visit this shrine from rest of the country as well.
The delegation said that besides, the adequate security, health care, public hygiene and water electricity arrangements at holy shrine be made. It demanded that some minor and major works like repairs of wash cum bath rooms which are in a very bad condition be made.
The other important issues including that of Ram Mandir Thakur Dwar, Batapora temple, Bona Batpora temple and Bonagam temple were discussed with DC.
The DC assured the delegation that he will look into their issues and address them before the start of Malmass and Banmass so that the yatris don’t face problems during their stay at holy shrine of Kapal Mochan.
The delegation complimented the DC for his gesture.
The other members of the delegation were Ashok Sathu, secretary of the TRKM and Bansi Lal Razdan its other members.
