JAMMU, May 29: A delegation of Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) led by Rajinder Parshad Kakkar, Society president here today met (FCR) Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Jal Shakti Department and Additional Chief Secretary J&K and submitted a memorandum containing the issue of poor drinking water supply in Trikuta Nagar Colony.
The delegation members demanded that every tube-well at Trikuta Nagar should be provided with a standby pump motor and every overhead tank should be topped up all the time as reserved so that short supply requirements can be fulfilled without any delay according to the scheduled time of drinking water supply.
Another demand was that of an independent 11 KV feeder to provide direct connection to all pumping stations of Trikuta Nagar colony and Railhead pumping station and both these pumping stations should be interconnected so that water supply can be diverted and smooth supply be ensured.
Still another demand was that of a new bore-well with full capacity pumping station should be provided to Trikuta Nagar (Ward no. 54) which is a demand of the area for the last three years as the existing pumping stations have low water level which remains the main cause for motor burns.
The FCR listened to the issues and gave directions to JMC Commissioner for early remedies on merits.
The delegation comprised of Varinder Suri, Vijay Gupta, Anil Sharma, Upender Zadoo and R.K Kakroo.
