JAMMU, Sept 25: Congress leader and DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony has raised serious concerns regarding the increasing call drop issues being faced by Airtel customers.
In a handout he said that for the last few weeks, the Airtel customers have been experiencing frequent call drops, which has resulted in considerable inconvenience and frustration.
“Customers have been reaching out to the telecom giant, expecting prompt resolution of the problem but their concern seems to have fallen in deaf ears,” he maintained adding: “Airtel has a responsibility towards its customers and the increasing instances of call drop are a clear violation of that responsibility.”
Tony said that it was unacceptable that customers are being charged for calls that do not even last few seconds due to call drops and this amounts to nothing less than daylight robbery.
He said: “If Airtel does not take immediate and concrete steps to resolve the issue within few days, we will be forced to move Consumer Forum and Court to seek justice.”
Tony urged the senior functionaries of Airtel to ensure that the grievance is addressed promptly.
