JAMMU, Oct 25: Congress Leader and DDC Member of Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony today raised serious concern over the more than 90 per cent pendency of Girdawaris in Suchetgarh due to callous attitude adopted by the official of Revenue Department and emphasise for regular transfers of revenue staff to prevent potential collusion with land grabbers.
Addressing to the farmers Tony emphasized the critical nature of this issue and its impact on the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He pointed out that the delay in conducting Girdawaris has placed significant strain on the local population, who are eagerly awaiting this essential service.
“The government is pushing people to the wall as all Girdawaris in the Revenue Department are pending,” said Tony, added that every village of border belt RS Pura and Suchetgarh is crying out for Girdawaris, and Tehsildars and revenue staff appear to be indifferent to their pleas.
He said BJP-led government is failed to resolve long-standing issues related to revenue staff and farmers and urged the government to take swift and effective measures to resolve this pressing issue.
Seeking urgent intervention of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha, Tony said it’s high time that the government takes decisive action to transfer Tehsildars regularly to prevent collusion with land grabbers.
