SUCHETGARH, Aug 27: General Secretary of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee and DDC member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony today held BJP responsible for the J&K’s deteriorating condition.
Addressing a meetings here today, Tony criticized the BJP-led administration for making the Union Territory the worst in several areas of public concern, including corruption, unemployment, and exploitation by various mafias.
He said, “The BJP has reduced Jammu and Kashmir to No. 1 in corruption, unemployment and the dominance of liquor, mining, and contractor mafias.”
“The J&K administration has turned a blind eye to the daily struggles of the common people, especially concerning the exorbitant electricity charges and the deteriorating quality of essential services,” he said and added that we are No. 1 in defunct irrigation systems and are being supplied with the dirtiest drinking water in the entire country. This is the legacy of BJP’s rule.
“The people of Jammu and Kashmir are being robbed of their basic rights while essential public services continue to crumble. Instead of addressing unemployment, the BJP government is busy promoting contractors and mafias who exploit public resources,” he said.
Tony called upon the people to be extremely cautious in the upcoming Assembly elections and make an informed choice.
“The BJP has betrayed the trust of the people by implementing anti-poor and anti-youth policies. In the coming elections, I urge the people to rise against this tyranny and support the candidates of the INDIA Alliance,” he asserted.
