JAMMU, June 28: DDC Member, Taranjit Singh Tony today dedicated the project for segregation of PDD Transmission lines to the people of village Sai in RS Pura Sub Division.
Talking on the occasion, DDC Member said that the power project has been conceived to rationalize the power load which earlier was creating a problem of load shedding in the area, forcing the residents to have sleepless nights.
“After extensively classifying the load requirements in this area, the project was envisaged dividing the entire village into three sectors”, he said adding that the sectors 2 and 3 have been covered today and the remaining sector No. 1 will also be brought under the ambit of this project soon.
He said that an extensive exercise was initiated by the PDD after he took the initiative. Tony said that he will also conduct door- to- door meetings in Suchetgarh area to have first hand knowledge of people’s issues which will be resolved in the coming days.
DDC Member took serious note of the absence of Junior Engineer, AE and AEE of STD wing of PDD during the inauguration of the aforesaid project. He said this is the height of irresponsibility that those who are supposed to man this project not bothered to participate in the launch function. He asked the authority to transfer these officials from the jurisdiction of Suchetgarh.
During the launch of the project Sarpanch Sai Khurd Sarbjeet Singh, Chela Singh, Shobha Singh, Sarpanch Chakrohi Sham Lal Bhagat Niab Sarpanch Roshan Bhagat, Panchs from Sai Ravi Kumar, Sher Singh,Thodi Ram, Ajay Kumar, Captain Kamjeet Singh, Balbir Singh Nagra and Vicky Choudhary, and Ramesh Choudhary from Gharana were also present.
DDC member also visited Karotana Kalan village and listened to the problems being faced by the people of the area regarding the dilapidated condition of roads. He assured the inhabitants that the roads leading to Temple and Gurdwara will be black-topped shortly. He also paid visit to Bokri village and listened to the grievances of locals.
