SUCHETGARH, Dec 14: Senior Congress leader and DDC Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony here today laid the foundation stone of a Gurudwara dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Blah village.
The ceremony was held in the presence of prominent local figures including Dalbir Singh, son of Late Chatter Singh; Ex-Sarpanch Rashpal Singh Gill; Ex-Sarpanch Mandeep Kour; Ex-Sarpanch Deepu and Ex-Sarpanch Omkar Singh.
Addressing the gathering, Tony emphasized that the Gurudwara would serve as a beacon of hope and compassion, fostering unity among the people irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
“This Gurudwara will be a place of worship and community service, embodying the values of humility and compassion,” he said assuring his unwavering support to ensure timely completion of the Gurudwara.
He called upon the residents of Suchetgarh to uphold the principles of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and work collectively towards fostering peace and harmony.
The programme concluded with prayers and a pledge by the community members to dedicate themselves to the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
