Top brass of RSS, BJP reviews coalition performance in J&K

JAMMU, July 16: The prevailing political situation and over four and half months performance of coalition Government came up for review and discussion during the top RSS and BJP leaders meeting here, today.
The three RSS leaders who were on three days visit of Jammu region to discuss the prevailing situation in the State with Sangh Pracharks, Swayamsevaks of all three regions and leaders of VHP and Bajrang Dal to seek a complete feed back on the State of affairs from them returned to Union Capital this evening.
The three top Sang leaders led by Bhaiya Ji Joshi, Sar Karvihah RSS who is second in chief in the Sangh hierarchy reached here on July 14 morning. The other two leaders included Datatray Hosbholay and Krishan Gopal Ji Seh Karivah of the Sangh who held detailed deliberations with RSS activists and Pracharks and leaders of organizations affiliated to Sangh.
Among the BJP leaders today’s meeting was attended by Party’s National organization general secretary, Ram Lal.
BJP national general secretary, Organisation Ram Lal, Union Minster in PMO incharge North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh, National general secretary incharge J&K, Ram Madhav, BJP vice president and MP Avinash Rai Khanna were also present in the meeting. They flew from New Delhi early in the morning to participate in the meeting. Ram Lal left for Union Capital in the evening while Ram Madhav left for Summer Capital after attending the meeting and Dr Jitendra Singh is in the Winter Capital as he has to leave for two days tour of Doda district tomorrow.
Mr Khanna is also staying in Jammu to attend tomorrow’s function organized by Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Trust. Besides senior RSS leader and former Prant Pracharak of J&K Arun Ji, Prant Pracharak of Sangh, Ramesh Pappa were also present in the meeting.
Among the State leaders, the meeting was attended by BJP State president and M P Jugal Kishore Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, senior BJP leader and MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and BJP organization general secretary Ashok Kaul.
According to sources, the meeting while making complete assessment of the Government’s functioning in the Sate on the feed back received by the Sangh leaders from pracharaks and Swayamsevaks on the functioning of the State Government favoured that the coalition should continue in the larger interests of the people of the trouble-torn State but stressed on complete involvement of MLAs and Party workers to increase coordination between Party and Government and take the policies and programmes of the Government to the people in every nook and corner of the State.
The RSS leaders sought complete feed back on the functioning of the coalition Government in the State from BJP leadership and stressed them to be more assertive.
The RSS leaders also stressed on increasing the capability of Ministers so that they could come to the expectations of the people of the State.
Later, Ram Lal chaired the Core Group meeting of the BJP. It was among others attended by Dr Jitendra Singh, Ram Madhav, Avinash Rai Khanna, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Shamsher Singh Manhas, BJP general secretary, Dr Narinder Singh, MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and Ashok Kaul.
The meeting besides organizational issues and functioning of the State Government discussed the Maha Samprak Abhiyan launched by the Party.
