BASOHLI, Feb 23: In a major boost to the BJP Sangathan of Pahari Zila, Yashpal Badial, a senior Executive associated with a multinational organization as Head Human Resources joined the party fold in a function held at Basohli.
Badial, who earlier played a key role in managing the DDC elections in Basohli constituency, today joined the BJP along with hundreds of other supporters in presence of Dr D K Manyal, former Minister; Nirmal Singh, Jeevan Lal, Gopal Mahajan – Prabhari Pahari Zila Col (retd) Mahan Singh – district president, Pahari Zila and other senior party leaders, in an event organized at Shaheed Rajinder Singh Chowk at Marta Nagrota.
Speaking on the occasion, Yashpal Badial said that he is joining the Saffron party with an aim to serve the people of Pahari Zila region who have been victims of political apathy and opportunism for several decades, inspite of the fact that Pahari Zila region has exponential potential of adventure tourism and handicraft & painting industry. He said that he is greatly influenced by the “Aatam Nirbhar” Mission initiated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi which motivated him to take the plunge as a full time politician.
