Total hip replacement done at Vivekananda Hospital

JAMMU, June 12: Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla achieved another milestone by operating upon a case for total hip replacement in its upgraded and modern Orthopaedic Operation Theatre.
A young patient named Manpreet Singh son of Dalvinder Singh, resident of Ganga Nagar (Bantalab, Jammu) was suffering from pain in hip for last 5 years following an injury and was diagnosed as a case of Bilateral Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Heads. Following this, total hip replacement was done on the patient by senior Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr Madan Gandotra free of cost under Ayushman Bharat scheme.
The patient was anaesthetized by Dr Anita Viz Kohli while a team consisting of Dr Tapsy Sharma, Sahil Khatri and Mohinder Lal (OT Technicians), Parvez Chouhan (Male Nurse), Ashish Sharma (DEO) and Kesru Ram and Kewal Kumar (both Nursing Orderlies) assisted Dr Madan Gandotra in the surgery.
