Tour operator from UP found dead

JAMMU, Apr 1: A Manager of private tour and travel company was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Hotel Jhelum Resorts near Bahu Plaza under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station early today.
He has been identified as Satish Paul son of Umesh Chander Paul, a resident of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He was working as Manager with Heena Tour and Travels, Mumbai and had come with a group for tour of Jammu and Kashmir. The tour had to move to Srinagar today.
Early today, when a hotel staffer went to wake up the Manager, he found no response and informed other members of the staff. The Manager was found dead on his bed.
Police parties from Gandhi Nagar police station led by SHO Inspector Arun Jamwal rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College for post-mortem, which would be conducted tomorrow after arrival of the victim’s family from Lucknow.
Police said the post-mortem would establish reasons behind the death but there were no external injuries on the body. The victim appeared to have taken drinks and some drugs, police said, adding the excess dose might have lead to the death.
Police have, meanwhile, started investigations in the case under Section 174 CrPC at Gandhi Nagar police station.
