SRINAGAR, Apr 9: Directorate of Tourism has launched the first e-governance web portal www.kashmironlinetourism.org for grant of fresh registrations and also renewals of already issued registrations for hotels, guest houses, houseboats, travel agency, restaurants and tour operators.
The facility was inaugurated by Zaffar Ahmad Bhat, Secretary, Tourism Department in presence of Talat Parvez Director Tourism, Kashmir and other officers of Tourism Department and representatives of tourist trade fraternity.
Guneet Singh Sudan, Technical Advisor, Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir who has rendered an outstanding service for the creation of this e-governance model, gave the detailed presentation of the Portal on the occasion.
Secretary Tourism while inaugurating the online facility at Tourist Facilitation Centre Naugam briefed the media about the importance of e-governance system.
He explained to the tourist traders that this step has been taken to provide hassle free and time bound service to the stake holders and also scrutinize the process of issuing fresh registrations.
It is the responsibility of every stake holders who are related with this trade to get themselves registered with the department of Tourism under Tourist Trade Act. Besides this by using the mode of Technology they will be just click away from availing the Hi-Tech facility.
