JAMMU, Mar 6: Police seized tractor trolleys, tipper and JCBs, which were found, engaged in illegal mining.
As per police sources, in the past few days, a team from Police Station Domana Police has acted tough against illegal sand mafia running in the area and has seized 10 tractor trolleys loaded with sand illegally lifted from the beds of river Tawi.
The special raids are being continuously carried out by the police throughout the nights to nab such tipper and tractor trolleys.
The operation against the illegal sand mafia was started by team of officers from jurisdiction of Police Station Domana.
With the efforts of team from Police Station Domana, many dumps of illegal sand were also being seized in the past.
The team of officers is being led by SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a special team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan seized several tractor trolleys, tippers and JCBs involved in illegal sand mining.
The special raids were being continuously carried out by the police throughout the nights to nab such tipper and tractor trolleys.
In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten the noose against the violators of the law, Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
