JAMMU, Mar 21: Police today claimed to have seized two tractor trolleys and a tipper under “Operation Ploughing” in Jammu South Zone within 24 hours for their involvement in illegal mining.
While a team of Police Post Belicharana seized a tractor trolley and a tipper, another tractor trolley was seized by a team of Police Post Gadigarh, a police official said.
The vehicles were seized on the direction of SP City South, Ajay Sharma, and SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, to curb the menace of illegal mining in the district, he said.
Post seizure, the police official said that the vehicles were handed over to the DMO Jammu for initiating further action into the matter.
