JAMMU, Aug 3: The Cross LoC Trade between Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir today remained suspended for an eighth consecutive day on Line of Control through Chaka Da Bagh in Poonch district.
”All Cross LoC trade movements along the Line of Control (LoC) are suspended for the last eight days,” an official here said. He said that the trade has been suspended by the traders over some issues lying pending and the matter is being taken up at higher level for its redressal.
”The trade will remained suspended till Friday,” he asserted.
Pertinent ot mention here that Cross Line of Control (LoC) Traders Association on July 28 also elected Abdul Razak as its new president.
Mr Razak had said that the new body will do its best in strengthening the cross LoC trade and reaffirmed that the body will fight for the registration of new firms in Cross LOC Trade and to settle the long pending issues.
Goods worth over Rs 2,800 Crore were traded through Line of Control (LoC) during the last three years as part of the cross-LoC trade, official records said. (UNI)
