POONCH, June 3: With the recently held meeting with the traders on both sides of the LoC at Chakkan-da-Bagh, the cross LoC trade has picked up considerably.
Today, after a long time, trade worth over Rs 2.50 crore took place between the two sides at this cross LoC point. Full allotted quota of 25 trucks loaded with goods like banana, jeera, red chillies, herbs etc worth Rs 86.53 crore crossed over to that side today. Seven trucks loaded with almonds, dry dates and fruits arrived here from PoK today. The value of the goods was put at Rs 1.63 crore.
